Life’s a journey along a trailI’ve never been on before, But Jesus is walking with me,Until this hike is o’er. I know not where the pathway turns,Nor what’s beyond the bend,But the way that Jesus chooses,I’ll walk each day with Him.
Often the pathway is rocky,With places hard to climb. We pass through thorny thickets,Where I stop to weep and whine. He leads me to the mountain heightsHis majesty to view.To valleys filled with fragrant flowersOf every shade and hue. Through grassy fields we travel,By gently flowing streams. Here I walk more slowlyIn contemplative dreams.
Beside a flowing stream we pause,A peaceful place to rest. Here my Father talks to me—I journey on refreshed. Along the path of life God leads,Although I don’t know where.Yet trusting Him I follow on—I’m safe within His care.
