“Now they (the pilgrims on earth) desire a better country, that is, an heavenly:

wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God:
for he hath prepared for them a city.”
Hebrews 11:16

“Nevertheless, we according to His promise,
look for new heavens and a new earth wherein dwelleth righteousness.”

“They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more;
neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.
For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them,
and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters:
and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.”
Revelation 7:16, 17

“For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth;
and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.
But be ye glad and rejoice for ever in that which I create;

And I will rejoice in Jerusalem, and joy in my people:
and the voice of weeping shall be no more heard in her, nor the voice of crying.”

The redeemed shall walk there,

and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads.
They shall obtain joy and gladness,
and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.”
Isaiah 35:8-10

“In the last days it shall come to pass
that the mountain of the house of the LORD
shall be established in the top of the mountains,
and it shall be exalted above the hills;
and people shall flow unto it.
And many nations shall come and say,
‘Come, and let us go up to the mountain of the LORD,
and to the house of the God of Jacob;
and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths.’
For the law shall go forth of Zion,
and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.”
Micah 4:1, 2

“Thus saith the LORD; I am returned unto Zion,
and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem:
and Jerusalem shall be called a city of truth;
and the mountain of the LORD of hosts the holy mountain.
Thus saith the LORD of hosts;
‘Behold, I will save my people from the east country, and from the west country;
and I will bring them, and they shall dwell in the midst of Jerusalem.
They shall be my people, and I will be their God, in truth and in righteousness.’”
Zechariah 8:3, 7, 8

“He that overcometh shall inherit all things;
and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.”
Revelation 21:7
